IPods are all the rage nowadays, the whole population is mesmerized by IPods. IPods allow people to listen to their music on the move, and even watch videos. IPods are capable of doing many different things they can store files, play music, play videos, and even display pictures. During that time, a third party software is required to be able to convert video clips for iPods. This is not the case anymore because the newest iTunes 6.0.2 comes with a video conversion tool to be able to transform video clips into an iPod-compatible format. As a typical Apple product, the conversion tool is subtly integrated into iTunes, so not everyone is able to maximize this feature. Here is a little tutorial to help you convert your video clips.
iTunes 6.0.2 is capable of converting Quick-Time compatible video formats into iPod-ready video files. These formats can be MOV, MPEG and MP4. These files are converted to H.264 format video. This handles videos that are 320 pixels wide. iTunes does not allow reconfiguring this setting. The format is great when the videos are viewed in iPods, but if these files are viewed on TV or PC, the quality is not as good.
The first step is to add your video clips to your iTunes library. This can be done by simply dragging and dropping them into your iTunes library window. Select the files you want to convert and then right click on your mouse button. A menu will popup and you have to select the option “Convert Selection for iPod”. iTunes will automatically convert the selected files into an iPod-ready video format. In spite of this lack of concern, there are more boomers aged 46 to 64 with hearing loss than seniors over the age of 65 with the same condition, and hearing loss among baby boomers is 26 percent more common than in previous generations.
Loud music and noise causes hearing loss by damaging the delicate hair nerve cells in the cochlea, a part of the inner ear that helps transmit sound impulses to the brain. These hair cells often recover from temporary damage. However, permanent damage can occur with prolonged exposure to extremely loud or moderately loud noise. When these nerve hair cells are destroyed, irreversible hearing loss results.
Many people who listen to iPods in noisy environments pump up the volume to dangerous levels to drown out background noise. In the 1970's it was the cassette tape crushing the 8 track. In the 1980's it was the VHS VCR putting an end to the BETA VCR. In the 1990's DVD's started the beginning of the end for Video Tapes. And in the 2000's, mp3 players and the iPod specifically are about to start throwing dirt on the grave of CD's. So, which product or service that's been the standard for years, will be the one that sees it's demise in the 2010's... it's one of the oldest technologies you have in your house. Your telephone.
To be able to replace an old product or service, and get in a majority of households, you have to have 3 things.
1. A need or want for a new product.2. A new product that is better than the original.3. A price that the majority of people can afford
Even though it's in it's infancy, Voip (Voice over internet protocol) technology passes all 3 of the above questions with flying colors.
1. How would you like to talk to and see a friend or relative, that lives in another State or Country, anytime you wanted to? No more sending pictures or having to wait to see someone every few years. Now you can see them on a video screen, in real time video, while talking to them on the phone. I'd want that.
2. What if you could not only talk to someone and see them, but you could also have caller id, call waiting id, call waiting, voice mail, call forwarding, conference calls, last call return, call blocking, do not disturb and more, all built right in to your phone, with no additional costs for these services. That's pretty darn good.
3. What if you got ALL of the above mentioned features from #1 and #2, for LESS than you pay now with your current local phone company? What if it was so much less, it saved you HUNDREDS of dollars per year? I can definitely afford that!
And that, my friends, is why VoIP and video phones are the iPod of the next decade. You're local phone company knows it's coming and they are preparing for it. The big internet companies (Yahoo, Google, AOL, etc) are all prepared to launch their versions. The Wall Street Journal predicts 70% of all houses will have voip by the year 2010... that's only 4 years from now! 70%!!!
So, unless you still have an 8 track in your vehicle or are still trying to keep those records from scratching when you play them on your record player, it might be time to look into something new for your home phone service.

The Ford Motor Company may not be the very first auto manufacturer to offer such a feature and accessory for cars and vehicles. It was the Mazda Motor Corporation who was the very first to take the initiative to bring out such an entertainment accessory for their vehicles. But it sure seems that Ford is closely following suit and it looks like it would not want to be left behind in this feature.
Now, with Ford vehicles offering this iPod connectivity, drivers or passengers can now simply plug their iPod units in the vehicle. This can be done through the features in the new audio system which is going to be introduced in the 2007 version vehicles of the Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury brands. And what could bring more customers in is that using this new feature is even easier than replacing your Ford Club parts.
Mark Fields, as we know, is the president of the Ford Motor Company unit in the Americas. He states, “We at Ford have pledged to listen more closely to our customers, and that includes knowing how they want to use their personal audio devices while driving. We see the booming trend in the audio marketplace, and we are responding quickly in our vehicles.”
Indeed, the market is out for new electronic devices that could give them enjoyment and entertainment and the iPod proved to be the answer to such a demand.
